Step 1: Log in to the NVR via the Internet Explorer browser.
Step 2: Select Setting.
Step 3: Select Network.
Step 4: Select HTTPS network in the left column. Then select “Create Server Certificate” and fill in the spaces with the appropriate codes for the country, state, location (city), the name of your organization or company, the name of the department, and the IP or domain name with which you want to trade. This information is what will be used to create the SSL authorization certificate.
Step 5: Select Download Root Certificate, then click Open when the pop-up message appears.
Step 6: Click Install Certificate.
Step 7: Click Next.
Step 8: Now you must click on next unless you want to store the certificate in another folder.
Step 9: Click Finish.
Step 10: A pop-up warning message of successful import will appear.
Step 11: After installing the security certificate you must go to the HTTPS page and allow the security request. There should be a security prompt, click Yes.
4. Enable IP Filter
Enabling IP filtering will prevent everyone except those with specific IP addresses from accessing the system and therefore, prevent Dahua CCTV hacking.
You can add up to a maximum of 64 IP addresses. After enabling the trusted site function, only the entered IP can access the NVR. If you enable the blocked site function, the IP addresses you enter cannot access the recorder.
5. Change the ONVIF password
